I Hear What You See: The Old-Time World of Kenny Hall
Kenny Hall hears the world that most of us see. Born blind in 1923, Kenny has struggled all his life, yet his infectious music spreads joy wherever he plays. His life is as unique as his mandolin style and repertoire of over 1100 songs. Kenny is one of the most influential Old-Time musicians living today, but not the most famous. Instead of fame he chose hiking in the woods; instead of fortune he chose to pass on his music in the traditional way – person to person. I Hear What You See tells Kenny’s inspiring and thought provoking story through music, visits with Kenny and his friends, and vignettes of the musical community that surrounds him. The film features Kenny Hall, Utah Phillips, Marta Hall, Terry Barrett, Will Spires, and the Sweet’s Mill String Band
